Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education
(GDECE)

The Programme seeks to:

Equip early childhood educators with the knowledge, skills and
values to be effective teachers

Enhance the ability of teachers to develop &
implement developmentally appropriate practices (DAP)

Inculcate in teachers that teaching young children is an art,
science, craft and profession

Instill in teachers on the need to be reflective of their practice
Target Market

Those contemplating a career in early childhood
education either as a teacher-facilitator or in the management of
early childhood centres.

Upgrading and certification of current teachers and managers
who are already currently involved in early childhood provision.

Entry Requirements
Potential applicants should possess any of the
following:
-
Diploma, STPM, A-Levels, Matriculation, UEC
OR
-
PMR, SPM, MCE & 21 years of age with 2 years
experience in teaching early childhood
