Nottingham Trent University – the professional University at the heart of England.

Nottingham Trent University is one of the UK’s leading Universities for graduate employment. Approximately 97% of full and part-time students graduating from the University in 2003 entered employment or went on to further study within six months of graduation.  The Sunday Times University Guide, September 2007, states that Nottingham Trent University has ‘one of the consistently lowest rates of graduate unemployment of any University’. This strength derives from Nottingham Trent’s close links with over 6,000 employers across the world.

NTU attracts students from across the globe and has a total student population of around 26,000, made up of approximately 21,000 undergraduates and 5,000 post-graduates.

Nottingham Trent University’s goal is to be the University of choice for students who want to gain the skills, knowledge and self-confidence to succeed in their chosen profession, within an environment committed to student support and the student learning experience.

In the 2004 institutional Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) review, Nottingham Trent received the highest commendation for its consistent commitment to supporting students and their learning, for its student-centred approach, and for the way NTU continues to drive forward the employability agenda to the benefit of its students and other stakeholders.  The QAA stated that:"Broad confidence can be placed in the soundness of the university’s current and future management of the quality of its academic courses and the academic standards of its awards."

All of Nottingham Trent’s courses are designed to give its students an extra edge, by encouraging them to think for themselves   while working within an innovative, stimulating and supportive environment. “Our teaching is underpinned by strong research”.  All of Nottingham Trent’s research units were rated as nationally or internationally important in the last Research Assessment Exercise, and four gained the coveted '5' Grade. This result makes NTU one of the leading ‘new’ universities in the UK.
